A hub connects computers in a network (LAN) to the router of an Internet Service Provider (ISP)
A Hub is a relatively simple device that receives internet traffic and sends it out through all its ports (cable sockets) as it does not know where the destination computer is.
It also provides other services like WiFi and a DHCP service.
Because it is not very efficient it is usually only found in small networks such as at home.
